The Midwest Acoustic Music Festival (MAMF) was founded by Shannon Brunet in the Spring of 2005 to garner attention for up-and-coming acoustic artists and provide a venue at which to celebrate and foster rising talent. Featuring 12 acoustic music acts from across the Midwest, MAMF became an instant success in its first year. The fan and artist friendly event was held in the Beer Garden of the Lake Street Café in Elkhart Lake, WI on July 9, 2005, from Noon to Midnight.
Throughout the 12 hours, over 600 attendees enjoyed original live music from artists such as singer/songwriters Owen Sartori (Minneapolis, MN) and Dave Tamkin (Chicago, IL), and the pop-rock band, Thomas Lane (Milwaukee, WI). The festival received support from both music lovers and media alike and was featured in a number of publications including The Shepard Express, The Sheboygan Press, The Star Tribune, and OnMilwakee.com to name a few.
The Midwest Acoustic Music Festival has had great success from 2006 through 2015. MAMF has become a staple in the singer/songwriter music scene. We look forward to MAMF 2016.
You wouldn't know it to look at the place, but behind the family-style pizzeria and bar (with an outstanding selection of local beers), there's a bit of nouveau sophistication. A cozy dining room, white linen, candles, a stupendous wine list, more than spectacular martinis — and a menu that includes a melt-in-your-mouth filet or fresh fish, served to order. Combine that with all fresh ingredients, and you've got the makings of a superb meal.Visit Lake St. Cafe
